Donna Karen New York, also known as DKNY, was founded in the 1980's by Donna Karen. Donna Karen was the fashion genius behind wraps and body suits. The company was purchased in 2001 by Louis Vuitton (LVMH). The first DKNY perfume, to hit the market was "Be Delicious".

DKNY Be Delicious Perfume

This perfume was distributed in an apple shaped dispenser that served as attribute to New York City. "Be Delicious", was intended to embody the individuality and refreshing spirit of the wearer. It accomplishes this by combining American Apple, Amber, Rose, Violet, Tender Skin Accord, Candid Magnolia, Grapefruit, Blonde Woods, Cucumber, Tender Skin accord, and Muguet.

There were several scents to follow, which were marketed toward the young, hip, and urban crowd. These include Be, Donna Karen Gold Sparkling, and Cashmere. The list also includes the newest fragrance in the Delicious line. "Be Delicious Fresh Blossom", which was created to celebrate femininity, vibrancy, and freshness, The scent accomplished this by using Apple, Rose, Muguet, apricot, Cassis, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Smooth Skin Accord, and Blonde Wood.

DKNY Picnic In The Park Perfume

"Picnic in the Park", is yet another fragrance in this line, and by far the fruitiest. Unlike the other scents in the Be Delicious line this one comes in a more traditional dispenser. This scent mixes Green Apples, Grapefruit, Orange, Apple wood, Juniper Berries, Pomarosa Apples, and Quinine.

"PureDKNY", is also one of the newer DKNY perfumes to hit the shelves. This fragrance is bottled and packaged out of completely recycled products. Thank to the generosity of DKNY proceeds go to support CARE. A humanitarian foundation created to try and fight global poverty. Thanks in part to this scent nine hundred Vanilla farmers will be helped; many of them are women. Included in this scent is Creamy Sandalwood, Amber, Orchids, Freesia, Jasmine, Rose, Lotus Flower, and Dew Drop.

"Men", is one of DKNY's perfumes that were crafted for men. It was designed with the urban men of New York City in mind. According to Dona Karen "it takes a certain type of man to live and thrive in NY". She embodies his scent with Vetiver, Mandarin, Cedar, Juniper, Sage, Cardamom, Jasmine, Patchouli, Bergamot, Orris, Pepper, and Violet, and .

Sandalwood, Driftwood, Patchouli, Iris, Black Suede, geranium, Water Lilly, Cilantro, Violet, Cardamom, Bergamot, Clementine, and Pommel; make up "Men's Love from NY".
